It’s always the icons~

I’m one of those people who believe that visual representation of a game element ought to be done in both text and a visual icon. This is primarily due to humans being very visual creatures (as our sight is usually our strongest sense). Having multiple ways to identify a key element of a game can make a player quickly find what they’re looking for on a screen that will be otherwise filled with text. Although no Yanfly Engine 6 scripts use icons at the time this script has been made, you can bet there will be a lot of them in the future.

I’ve combined Iconview and the Icon Module Library from the previous Yanfly Engine iterations. Since these are often used jointly, I took the liberty of saving some space and putting them together. Although my focus with Yanfly Engine 6 is to provide less of a bulk all-in-one script that makes it very intimidating to edit, this script will be one of the few exceptions to the rule. This script makes it easier for RPG Maker users to find icon ID’s within their game and to manage them all in one script. I will be updating this script from time to time to make sure it is up to date with whatever new Yanfly Engine 6 icons are available.
